About City Sky Intercepts

City Sky Intercepts (Hebrew: יירוטים בשמי העיר) is a free, browser-based arcade missile-defense game. You command a layered air-defense array and protect city skylines from waves of incoming missiles, drones, and falling debris. Tap a threat, launch the right interceptor, and keep the city standing.

The idea

The game turns a tense, real-world concept — layered missile defense — into an approachable, fast-paced tap game. It isn't a simulation or a statement; it's an arcade experience about quick decisions: which threat is most dangerous right now, and which system is the right tool to stop it. Each round is short, so it's easy to pick up for a few minutes at a time.

Defense systems

You unlock and juggle four interceptor systems, each inspired by a real-world air-defense layer and each suited to a different kind of threat:

SystemRole in the game
Iron DomeShort-range workhorse with unlimited ammo. Best against drones and falling debris. It cannot reach high-altitude ballistic missiles.
David's SlingAccurate mid-range interceptor with limited rounds. It cannot fire into the very top of the sky.
Arrow 3Long-range answer to ballistic missiles — it can reach anywhere on the screen. Limited rounds that slowly regenerate on their own.
THAADThe heavy hitter for high-altitude ballistic threats. Powerful but expensive, so it rewards careful use.

Cities & missions

The campaign spans nine progressive missions across three cities and three times of day. You begin in Tel Aviv (morning, sunset, and night), move to Haifa as the threats speed up and drones appear, and finish in Dubai, where the Burj Khalifa is a high-value target with its own health bar — if it falls, the mission ends. Each mission adds a new wrinkle: side attacks, simultaneous multi-threats, debris fields, and more.

Economy

Interceptions cost money, and staying intact earns it. After every mission you get an economic summary — what you spent, the damage you prevented, your uptime bonus, and your net impact — which funds upgrades. Good play isn't just shooting everything; it's spending efficiently while keeping civilians safe.

Accessibility & platforms

The game runs in any modern browser with no install and no account. It supports English and Hebrew (including right-to-left layout), works with touch on phones and tablets and with a mouse on desktop, and includes options for sound and reduced motion. You can optionally add it to your home screen to play it like an app.
