City Sky Intercepts — Strategy Guide

Anyone can tap a missile. Winning the harder missions is about matching the right interceptor to each threat, managing limited ammo, and spending your budget efficiently. This guide goes deeper than the in-game tutorial.

1. The golden rule: right system, right threat

Every threat has a system that handles it cleanly and systems that simply can't. Tapping with the wrong one wastes a shot and lets the threat keep falling.

ThreatUse thisWhy not the others
Ballistic missileArrow 3 (or THAAD for the highest)Iron Dome can't reach high altitude; David's Sling can't fire into the top of the sky.
Drone / UAVIron DomeDrones come in low from the sides — Iron Dome's sweet spot. Don't burn Arrow 3 rounds on them.
DebrisIron DomeDebris is low and short-range; Iron Dome has unlimited ammo, so it's free to clear.
Mid-altitude threatDavid's SlingSaves your scarce Arrow 3 rounds for true ballistic targets.

2. Range & altitude limits (memorize these)

3. Ammo & regeneration management

Arrow 3 is your most precious resource because it's the only thing that stops high ballistic missiles and it's capped. Habits that keep you stocked:

4. Combo scoring

Consecutive intercepts without a miss build a combo multiplier, and the multiplier is where big scores come from. A clean chain of cheap intercepts can outscore a few flashy expensive ones. Protect the combo: don't take low-percentage shots that are likely to miss and reset it.

5. Economy optimization

The post-mission summary rewards efficiency, not just survival. Three levers:

  1. Spend less per kill. Every Iron Dome intercept is effectively free; every THAAD shot is costly. Use the cheapest system that can do the job.
  2. Maximize uptime. You earn money for every second the city is intact, so preventing hits early pays compounding dividends.
  3. Avoid damage. "Damage avoided" is tracked and rewarded — a leak that hits the city costs you twice (lost shield and lost economy).

6. Per-city tactics

Tel Aviv (Missions 1–3)

Learning ground. Drill the system-to-threat pairings here. Night raises threat speed — keep your eyes moving and pre-select Iron Dome as your idle default.

Haifa (mid campaign)

Faster threats and the first real drone pressure. Keep Iron Dome ready for the drones arcing in from the sides while Arrow 3 covers the ballistic missiles overhead.

Dubai & the Burj Khalifa (late campaign)

The Burj Khalifa has its own health bar and an instant-loss condition if it falls. Treat anything targeting it as top priority, even over a threat closer to your shields. Don't let the spectacle distract you from the altitude rules — ballistic still means Arrow 3 or THAAD.

7. Reading multi-threat waves

When several threats are on screen at once, intercept from the bottom up: whatever is closest to impact is the most urgent, regardless of size. A high ballistic missile that just spawned has plenty of time; a drone about to reach the rooftops does not.
